How To Be A Happy Hippo

Author: Jonathan Shipton

Illustrator:
Sally Percy

Publisher: Little Tiger Press

Language: English

Summary: This book is about a young hippopotamus named Horace who is sad because his dad has no time for him. Because he misses him, he decides to make a trap to get his attention and force him to play with him.

Classroom Uses: Storytelling, Read Alouds

This story is good for children and parents. It shows that a child needs more than "mountains of food, lots of things to play with and plenty of mud". This book reminds busy parents to have a quality time with their kids.

It has beautiful pictures and is a touching story worth reading.

Highly Recommended!
